Halli got her ears pierced
Brinna and I took Halli to Walmart in Cody to have her ears pierced. Halli chose a cute pair of sparkly March birth stone ear rings. We had told her countless times on the days previous what was going to happen. But, as we were sitting there, she once again asked what was going to happen. She also wanted to know if it was going to hurt. The lady is putting on her gloves, getting out the alcohol swabs and cleans one lobe. Halli says, "That smells really good". (The lady chuckles, Brinna gives me a look) Then she gets a new swab and cleans the second lobe. Halli is nervious and clutches her hands together, "Is it going to hurt". The lady puts the dots on Halli's lobes and we all check to be sure they are even. Then the gun comes out. By now Halli is having a hard time holding still. I keep asking her if she really wants this done, and she reasures me she does. The lady puts it to her ear, pulls the trigger and Halli screams, one loud scream. Tears came to her eyes and she says, "that hurt a little". Halli is squirming around, so I have her look in the mirror to see her pretty ear. She likes it a lot. We are now ready for ear two. We hold Halli steady, and the trigger is pulled and Halli says, "that wasn't so bad" (with a surprised look on her face). Now she is beaming and telling all (whether she knows them or not) that she got her ears pierced. She commented that it makes her really pretty. In the car on the way home I ask Brinna if it was as entertaining as she thought it was going to be. She smiled and replied, YES.
